Songs to Complete Your Summer Playlist
Songs to Complete Your Summer Playlist

Summer has always been the greatest time of the year for most of us– no school, less traffic during day time, cold refreshments here and there. It’s a time to relax, escape, do a total make-over, or find new romance. But whether you’re planning to lounge around or up for a crazy adventure, don’t go through the season without a summer playlist to complete your experience. Every unforgettable moment should come with a soundtrack!

I have listed down ten songs with cool summer beats that I think should make it to your iPod.

10. Neon Indian – Deadbeat Summer

I know some of you are taking this summer off to move on from a love you lost this year. But missing that person is entirely normal. The song says so.

9. Meg and Dia – Cardigan Weather

Summer is definitely not “cardigan weather,” but this song has a feel in it that makes you want to put your shades on and lie on the sand.

8. The Kooks – Always Free

If the title’s not enough to convince you that it’s a summer song, listen to the intro. Sold!

7. The XX – Stars

It’s too warm even at night; it’s sometimes difficult to sleep. The XX’s cool, hypnotizing voice is your summer lullaby.

6. Regina Spektor – Us

This is from the movie “500 Days of Summer.” It just makes sense that this goes to your playlist.

5. Fun (ft. Janelle Monáe) – We Are Young

Summertime is the best time to feel good and feel young. This is the perfect bonding soundtrack for you and your friends.

4. Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks

This is the kind of LSS you’d want this summer. I can’t take the whistling part off of my head. The upbeat melody reminds me of the sea breeze.

3. Jinxed – To Whom It May Concern

You need at least one loud song when driving your car to the beach to prep yourself up and to keep your energy high! This is the song for that.

2. Nelly – Hot in Here

Radio stations and clubs never forget to play this during summer. The songs from the Nellyville album are great. This is one of my favorites. Add this on your list, if you haven’t yet.

1. Bob Marley – Is This Love

Well, I just placed a random Bob Marley song, but honestly, I suggest you download all his albums and add his songs to your list. Reggae is the ultimate summer beat; Bob made awesome reggae, and summer is not complete without it!

If some of the songs are unfamiliar to you, dive right in and have a listen. And for a better listening experience, try using the Bluetrek Carbon headset. It is equipped with Noise Lock, a high quality audio enhancement technology with noise, wind and echo cancellation. It is also the first Bluetooth headset made with real carbon fiber that promises comfort even after a long time of wearing.

I hope the songs make it to your list. Feel free to suggest some songs for me, too! I’ll be waiting.
