APP, up, and away!
APP, up, and away!

Most universities in the country, if not all, are already finished with their graduation ceremonies by now. We are sincerely glad that you have made it through the grueling four or more years of college. It has been fun. But now that you’re out of the sheltered student life, it’s time for you to step into the real world. Society, including your family and friends, are expecting a lot from you. You’ll have to secure a job, balance career with social life, and move out of your parents’ house soon. How will you survive?

Apps, my friend. Apps. You can scout locations with maps apps, cook with recipe apps, connect with friends with social networking apps, and a lot more. I’m sure a lot of apps have already made your life more convenient. That’s why I have listed down a few apps to will help you look for a job, nail your interview, manage your finances, and even find a new apartment to live in.

Build a career

Are you looking for an internship, a part-time job, or a regular work? The CareerBuilder app can help you find thousands of available jobs in your area and apply for the ones you want best. After your application, you’ll likely be called for an interview. It’s a stressful process, and the Monster.com Interviews app is going to help you through it. It has a step-by-step guide that coaches you through every stage of the interview. It also provides tips and reminders for the big day and a complete guide on what you should do for the post-interview follow-up.

Handle your finances wisely

When you get that regular paycheck, it sometimes becomes difficult for you to control yourself from splurging. By the end of every month, you wonder where your money disappeared to. The ClearCheckBook.com and Mint.com apps can help you be more mature in managing your expenses. These tools can help you keep an eye on your money and budget it well. Who knows, if you follow a well-plotted budget plan, you just might be able to reward yourself with fabulous annual vacations.

Give your parents a break!

You went past puberty, your first few heart breaks, and college with their help. Now you’re an independent grown-up, and it’s time to look for your own place. The Apartments.com app not only helps you locate apartments in your desired area. It also has detailed search filters like floor plans and walk through videos to let you see things you consider in a living space. If you prefer a bigger place, the Rentals app may be just what you need.

I know you just graduated and you’re still in a  party mood but once you step out of that zone, don’t forget to download these apps on your smart phones and start working on your brand new life.

Congrats and happy job hunting, fresh grads!
