Ever wondered why opposites attract? Well, after learning the basics of magnetism, I stopped asking. But it never seizes to amaze me—the rules of opposite-attraction apply many to other things – such as music, food, fashion, and style. Here are a couple of mixes-and-matches that I find fascinating:
MUSIC: B.O.B. + Taylor Swift – Both of Us
Both of Us is a beautifully written song about how many people work so hard yet still remain society’s underdogs. Quite a number of artists have already released records with the same message. The unique thing about this song is the collaboration of an RnB artist, B.O.B., and a country singer, Taylor Swift. It’s a nice surprise.
FASHION: Epson + Fashion TV + Scuba Diving – Underwater Photo Shoot
Fashion has gone beyond the ramp. Photo shoots in the slums, in the busy city streets, and in forests are almost common now. Hence, it was time for the fashion industry to take their art above and under.
In 2011, EPSON worked with Fashion TV in putting together an underwater shoot (assisted by trained scuba divers) for wedding gowns. Fashion has never taken on a more fluid visage.
SNACKS: Banana + Almonds – Healthy Merienda
Pairing bananas with almonds are actually almost the same as eating your regular rice, ham and egg breakfast. They are both protein-carbohydrates diet. You might find the taste odd at first. It takes a little getting used to. For me, it’s best if you try it with unsalted almonds.
TECHNOLOGY: iPhone 4S + Otterbox Defender – Ultimate Gadget Protection
iPhone 4S is a really delicate (and expensive) smart phone. It may have internal defense mechanisms, like the Gorilla Corning Glass, but it’s still not enough to completely defend it from damage.
On the other hand, the Defender Series is rugged. It protects your smart phone against drops, scratches, bumps, shocks, and dust. A tough Otterbox Defender keeps a fragile iPhone 4S away from harm while staying true to its style.
